To overcome troubles and achieve what we want, the easiest way is to light a lamp in home for the Lord (Deepam). Wherever the light of the Dheepam falls, spiritual energy fills up that space. Hence, it is a good practice to light and place lamps wherever possible in the house.
Remember that only the oil in the lamp should burn, not the wick. We must ensure that the wick does not burn or get blackened.
When we light the Deepam, the back door of the house must be shut. Avoid using fingers to remove the dust/dirt from the oil or kindling the wick while the lamp is burning. And, as far as possible, only the lady of the house must extinguish the deepam.
